Shadow Warrior 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by indie studio Flying Wild Hog and published by Devolver Digital. It is the sequel to the 2013 Shadow Warrior, the reboot of the 1997 original. The game was released for Microsoft Windows in October 2016, and for PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in May 2017.
Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, and is the sequel to 2014’s Titanfall. It was released in October 2016 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Its single-player campaign focuses on a Militia infantry soldier named Jack Cooper who aspires to be the pilot of a Titan – large mecha-style exoskeletons used for war. Following the death of his mentor, Cooper inherits BT-7274, a Vanguard-class Titan, and the two join forces against the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation and their hired mercenaries.
Upon release, Titanfall 2 was met with highly positive reviews, with critics praising the single-player campaign for its design and execution, and the various multiplayer modes for building upon the foundation of the original game, with several reviewers citing Bounty Hunt as the highlight. Criticism was leveled against the single-player’s short length and the writing. Despite the positive reception, Titanfall 2 underperformed commercially.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a first-person shooter video game developed by Raven Software and published by Activision. A remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, it was released worldwide on November 4, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. It is only available by purchasing either the Legacy, Digital Deluxe or Legacy Pro editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, with physical versions requiring the Infinite Warfare disc inserted to access the remaster.
Modern Warfare Remastered builds upon the original by featuring extensive graphical enhancements, lighting and rendering upgrades, remastering original sound effects as well as adding new, and offers numerous small improvements and alterations while retaining the original core gameplay. New multiplayer content and additional single-player cheats are also included. The remaster received positive reviews from critics, who lauded the improved graphics, sound, and range of amendments from the original game, with several calling the work some of the most extensive used for a remastering. However, split opinions were given to the campaign and multiplayer, aspects of which were seen as both dated and refreshingly simplistic compared with recent Call of Duty installments. Activision also generated controversy for not releasing Remastered as a standalone game, among other criticized decisions.

Compared to previous installments in the series, the game’s story campaign features significantly larger and more open-designed levels to allow players more freedom to explore and move about in combat situations, progress through enemy patrols undetected using stealth, and use vehicles to openly navigate around some sections of the campaign.
Doom is a first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. A reboot of the Doom franchise, it is the fourth title in the main series and the first major installment since Doom 3 in 2004. Players take the role of an unnamed marine as he battles demonic forces from Hell that have been unleashed by the Union Aerospace Corporation on a future-set colonized planet Mars. Development of Infinite Warfare began during 2014. It is the first title by Infinity Ward under the new three-year development cycle for the Call of Duty series. The game’s campaign is centered around a battle for the Solar System, which the Settlement Defense Front (SDF), a hostile force who are the main antagonists, are attempting to take over. The player takes control of Captain Nick Reyes of the Special Combat Air Recon (SCAR). They have their own transforming fighter, named “Jackal”, that they can customize as well as a central hub world named Retribution.
Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Despite its name, Battlefield 1 is the fifteenth installment in the Battlefield series, and the first main entry in the series since Battlefield 4. The game was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 21, 2016.
Battlefield 1 received positive reviews by critics and was seen as an improvement over previous installments Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. Most of the praise was directed towards its World War I theme, multiplayer modes, visuals, sound design, and single-player campaign.
